We just completed a new 6-bedroom AFH build in Spokane Valley, purpose-built from the ground up for licensed care. Every bedroom has its own mini-split system for individual climate control, and the home includes two dedicated administrative rooms for staff meetings and care coordination — something most residential builds don't need to plan for, but every AFH operator does. The build features 9' ceilings throughout, a 5' main hallway with 36" doors for full accessibility, and a large kitchen with stainless appliances and quartz counters built to handle daily use at scale. Secure storage was a priority: a locking medicine cabinet and a locked utility closet for the on-demand natural gas water heater keep controlled items separated from resident living space.
